We transformed a property in Hitchin Hertfordshire using James Hardie wall plank cladding.

The customer had various requests which we worked closely with them to achieve.

The building was single bricked (No Cavity) and they where having problems with water ingress and loss of heat. The building had been painted in a non breathable paint, which did not allow the property to breath.

They sourced a company to sandblast all of the paint from the property, leaving us with the brick.

We then went to work fitting timbers to the all of the exterior walls of the property and insulated it with sheep’s wall insulation, as per the customer’s request.

Once we had all the insulation on place we fitted a breathable membrane over all the timbers and then fitted a small batten over all of the timbers and felt.  We did this so as to create an airflow behind the Hardie Wall Plank Boards, which would remove any moisture.

The property had a few external waste pipes which they wanted boxing in, we did this and fitted inspection hatches in the required places.

To complement the property we fitted a bespoke door canopy. This gave the customer somewhere dry to wait whilst they opened the door.
